The electrophoresis tank is the core part of the gel electrophoresis system, and its rapid development of the system is mainly embodied in the electrophoresis tank. According to the principle of electrophoresis, the gel is placed between two buffer chambers, and the electric field connects the two buffer chambers through the gel. The contact between the buffer and the gel can be direct liquid contact or indirectly through the gel strip or filter strip. Both tubular gel electrophoresis and vertical plate electrophoresis take direct liquid contact. This method can effectively use the electric field, but there are some difficulties in the design of the device, such as liquid leakage, electrical safety and troublesome operation. The horizontal plate-shaped electrophoresis tank is mostly overlapped by a filter paper bridge by an indirect method.
